The original building was constructed in the late 18th Century, but now provides all the services, facilities and range of social activities expected of a first-class, up-to-date Residential Care Home in a friendly environment with comfortable spacious bedrooms and light and airy public spaces.
Tony Billingham, University Graduate and trained Social Worker, is the Proprietor of Lapal and has devoted the last 45 years of his life to the care and welfare of others. As a former Area Social Services Officer his wealth of experience, coupled with a genuine compassion for those in need, has earned him the respect of those he has helped and working colleagues alike. Both Tony and his wife Pam and carers are committed to quality care for those in need.
Qualified, experienced members of staff are committed to ensuring a careful balance between dignified independence for residents whilst providing whatever personal care and specialist support they need.
Each member of staff is comprehensively trained to provide hands on help with the activities of daily living. Additionally, our appointed Doctor makes weekly visits to attend to any health concerns that may arise, providing families with the peace of mind that comes from knowing their loved ones are being supported by qualified, caring individuals.
